A L L - S Q U A R E -- MAIN INSTRUCTIONS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Essentially this is a very simple game to play , and requires both skill
and speed. The aim of the game is to change the nine centre squares of your
sixteen square playing grid to the same colour as the nine squares in the
control grid.
When the game starts the coloured squares in the control grid (bottom
middle of the screen) are mixed up. You must then try and slide the 16
squares in your playing grid around so the nine centre squares match those
in the control grid.
CONTROLS
TWO PLAYERS - Player 1 - Joystick in left joystick port.
Player 2 - Joystick in right joystick port (mouse port)
or
Pressing "P" or the {SPACE BAR} during the game will PAUSE the game , press
again to unpause.
Press {ESCape} during the game will QUIT and return to the menu.
GAME
~~~~
In one player mode you should try and complete the game in the least
number of moves.
In two player mode you should try and complete the game before your
opponent and if possible in a low number of moves.
If you complete the game in a low number of moves you will get the
chance to enter you name onto the LOW MOVES TABLE which is saved to disk if
you have the disk write enabled (can't see through hole in bottom left of
disk).
In two player mode you can play the best of 1,3,5,7 or 9 games.
The lowest number of moves for each player is remember for the complete
match and then if low enough you will get on the LOW MOVES TABLE.
To slide the squares around you should press fire on a square that is in
line vertically or horizontally with the empty white space.
A tactic to save moves is to slide more than one square around with a
single move (i.e click on a coloured square that is two , three or even four
squares away from the empty space , but still in line with it vertically or
horizontally.
